SCHEDULE:
The block
schedule worked well for us last year, so we are going to
use it again. A detailed block schedule will be mailed to
all participating gyms no later than April 20, 2008. The
schedule will be fairly similar to last year’s with level
10, Jr. and Sr. competition on Friday, and all Level 1- 9
competition on Saturday and Sunday. Depending on numbers
and availability of time on Friday we could possibly have
finals for the Jr. and Sr.’s.
FUNDS:
Entry fees must
be in the form of a money order or certified check. NO
personal or gym checks will be accepted.

PURPOSE:
The Sr. Elite
and Jr. Elite competitions will name Regional Champions in
all disciplines. This competition will prepare our athletes
for competition at national and international events. The
Jr. Olympic Regional Championships (Levels 1-10) will name
Regional Champions in age groups for all disciplines
(synchronized trampoline, Level 10 only). This will also
serve as the second and final opportunity to qualify for
the national championships that will be held in Kansas
City, MO, June 29 – July 6 We will also name the levels 9
and 10 Regional All Star Team that will represent our
region at the regional face off at the national
championships in Kansas City.

Elite (per competitor)
$75.00 for First Event
$10.00 for Each additional event
Sr. Elite FREE if you volunteer for one full session
We are entering online this year. Go to
www.usag-region3.org for specific instructions on how to
enter.
ENTRY
DEADLINE:
Postmarked or
in the regional office by April 3, 2008.
This will insure your team is included in the program.
Entries received after the deadline will be doubled. NO
Exceptions.
Entries will not be processed without payment, therefore,
phone and fax entries will not be accepted. No entries the
week prior to the competition.
ENTRIES:

for specific instruction on how to register your team and
athletes on the official website. READ INSTRUCTION
CAREFULLY BEFORE REGISTERING IN ORDER TO AVOID PROBLEMS.
INCOMPLETE
OR INCORRECT ENTRIES:
After April 3rd
information may be changed or corrected for a charge of $10
per correction. If an age is listed incorrectly there will
be $10 per event charge.
ELIGIBLE
ATHLETES:
All athletes
registered with USA Gymnastics as an athlete member are
eligible to compete at the Regional Championships. Please
note that all non-U.S. citizens must declare their
citizenship prior to competition.
RULES:
USAG Trampoline
and Tumbling rules from the current 2008 Code of Points and
errata (posted on USAG website) will be used. Please note
that there will be no finals for levels 1 – 10. All age
groups are based on the age of the competitor on December
31, 2008.
COACHES:
Only coaches
who have a minimum of a level one coaching certification
and current USAG Pro or Jr. Pro membership will be issued
credentials. Note: Please read the dress code in the code
of points. This dress code for coaches and judges will be
strictly enforced. Teams will be allowed one coach for
every 5 athletes registered with no more than 3 coaches per
team. (5 or less athletes 1 coach, 6 to 10 athletes 2
coaches 11 or more 3 coaches).

4 - Eurotramp
trampoline with Eurotramp beds and springs
2 - Eurotramp Double-mini trampoline
2 – Ross Athletics Rod Tumbling floor
Equipment managed and additional equipment supplied by Ross
Athletics.
VOLUNTEERS:
We need your
help with volunteers for this competition. We would greatly
appreciate all your help. This meet would not be possible
without the help of volunteers. Thank you in advance for
your assistance. All volunteers will be given a hand stamp
that will allow them access into the competition for their
assigned session.
ATHLETE BIOS:
Each team who
has Jr. & Sr. Elite competitors will need to fill out
the athlete bio form on the region 3 website and attach a
current head shot photograph. Athlete Bios will be
submitted online this year (more information will follow)
We are working on getting some much-needed press for our
sport and this event. We would like to provide some
information about each athlete in a press packet, so that
they can promote our event with the press in Fort Worth.
JUDGES:
Only judges who
have met yearly certification requirements and have a
current USAG Pro or Associate membership, and are currently
registered with the USAG Trampoline and Tumbling Judges
organization will be used to seat panels. Ratings and
availability will determine contracts for the Region 3
championships. Judges must have previously judged at a
minimum of 3 sanctioned competitions prior to regional
championships. Judging questionnaires must be mailed or
faxed to Patti Conner by April 3, 2008
