1 AUGUST: Dakota
HI EVERYONE!:)
Since we've been here...we have trained a lot and walked around London a lot! Training has been great and the USOC village is really cool! The USA men's volleyball team trains in the same gym as us...they are SUPER tall! The USA basketball team also trains in the same gym .....but at "special" times...I have seen them though! We have gone to the Oakley house and P&G house...and they gave us free goodies! It is super busy and crowded down at the olympic park.....sardines! It is cold and rainy! I had a chance to go watch women's gymnastics team finals..but we only had 1 ticket...so we tossed a coin to see who would go...and it was me!!! :D

Things are fast and furious as we get close to the competition, our training at the University has been going well, we have done alot of interviews and DAkota did a photo shoot for the P & G House which is Proctor and Gamble, amazing what these guys do for the athletes. She also went to the Oakly house and got a new pair of sun glasses, made for her. Of course you all know the women's gymnastics team won and was very exciting, Dakota had a ticket and the rest of us were in a resturant right outside door watching on TV. The president called all of the girls yesterday and talked with them, so has been exciting and the men getting a third last night, so the world of gymnastics around here is really fun. We are going to podium training for the Trampolline this afternoon and then to girls finals. The one thing I can tell you all from this experience is that all the years, time, and money spent are worth it if you get this far. It is a hard road with alot of blood, sweat, and tears but if you can stary after and achieve your dream it is truly amazing. We are going to tour London on the 6th so have not seen alot outside of venues which are so beautiful....we have ridden alot of trains and there are millions of people but it has all flowed good. NBC is doing a special on Savannah tonight at 6:30 Central time...don't miss and men's trampoline is Friday 2:00 here so early for ya'll and women's is Sat at 2 also. It is suppose to be fully televised...better run first training of day and I am late....Thanks for all the prayers and wishes see ya soon!!
28 JULY: Dakota
HI EVERYONE!:) It's our first day to not be jet-lagged! We arrived yesterday morning as I had said...at 6:55 and we went & went all day long! BOY WAS I TIRED AT 6 P.M! I WANTED TO SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP!! We went to the Olympic Opening Ceremonies to walk around at Olympic Park and then came back to watch the actual Opening Ceremonies at the USOC cafeteria. They had a little celebration for the event. I later slept like a baby after a much needed shower! Then we met up for breakfast at 8:30 and headed over to the gym to set up the trampolines! When they were all set up, we decided to go ahead and bounce on them that morning so that we could go do something later in the day. After getting taped (ankle), I began workout! It went really well for being the first day:) This afternoon we went to the Olympic Park...along with 7 billion other people (atleast it seemed like that many people) There is a huge mall & many other stores to go to at this place. It is right by the track & field arena. WE came back to the dorms and played SPARKLE (LOGAN'S favorite game with dice) with a former pentathlon-er...
Now I am feeling a bit sleepy (british accent) and I think i am going to check in for the night!:) 2 practices tomorrow! :)
And for some reason... I am always talking with a british acccent! :p

The Opening Ceremonies were last night so we headed to the Olmpic Park to see how far we got just to see and be a part since we could not be in it. Was unreal the amoung of people there and all of the celebrating...was like fourth of July at home. The Olympic Park is amazing, a huge shopping mall complete with a casino adjoining the venue. All new and sparkling...we got right to the entrance and watched a bit then walked the mall and had a snack, then back to the UEL Docks University with the USOC where we are staying and they threw a huge party with big TV for all to watch...of course dead on our feet we went to bed soon after the march of teams. This morning we set up our trampoline to train on here at the University, we brought a new tramp bed and springs to put on it and used their frame...they are using the chinese beds here. Dakota dn Logan looked good during training even though it is a bit hard knowing you are not going to compete unless someone gets hurt but both are going to Portugal after this so very necessary to keep up the momentum. We then went and bed Savannah and Steven at the training facility, they seem to be doing great, also met Dmitri's coach who is in Australia now. Tons of people from so many countries, I cannot keep up with them. We rode the Gandala coming over the Olympic Events to get home, was so neat...got lots of pictures that I will share as I see ya'll. Tommorrow we train and plan to see a few events. This place is so neat and we are truly enjoying ourselves....til tommorrow!!

After a LONG DAY...we finally made it to where we are supposed to be! :) so excited to watch opening ceremonies at the USOC opening ceremony-watching party TONIGHT! It is a little depressing not being in the athlete village, but I am surrounded by other hardworking alternates at the ULE DOCKLANDS college where we are staying. The flight over here was rather short because I watched 3 movies! I will let you all know how training goes tomorrow!
25 JULY: Savannah
Hi y'all...The USA team is here in Huntsville for a training camp, before the big event. Our time here has been great. We all have been working hard, and enjoying this journey together. I must say rooming with Dakota Earnest definitely makes time here 10 times better haha. We are all ready to be in London. We will leave tomorrow. I will try to update as often as possible. GO REGION 3!! GO USA!!
25 JULY: Dakota
We are at the ranch and it's our 4th day !! We leave tomorrow afternoon after a short workout in the morning. Camp has been fun, motivating & HOT! The Houston weather is muggy! My practices have been going great and so have. Savannah's. We have had a lot of time to bond and create even more memories as friends! When we are not working out, sleeping or eating.. We are usually talking, watching tv shows or losing money by playing card games with Logan and Steven. We are very unlucky at rolling dice. I will let you all know how the olympics are! I just cannot wait to be in LONDON!!!

We are in our third day of camp and all is going well....thanks to all of you for your supporrt and to STTA for the extra money for the trip. It is very appreciated. Being here with the Olympians and alternates is totally amazing. These four athletes are the perfect four to represent the United States in trampoline and two are our groups. I feel totally honored to be here and be part of this group. They were brought to Karolyi's Camp for a calm down period before we leave. They are training two times a day and everyone is working hard and encouraging each other. We leave for London on Thursday. We are all very excited and ready for the adventure to begin. The men compete on the 3rd and the women on the 4th. Stephen drew 7th to compete and Savannah drew 16th. Finals will be that day, also. Please pray for them to do their best and safe travels for all of us. One more cool thing is the alternates are sharing a gym with the US Men's Basketball Team that be should be really fun!!......Thanks to all of you!

After a short flight, we are in hot & muggy in Houston and heading to Bella Karyoli's ranch where the trampoline Olympic training center is located. His ranch is huge if you have not visited it before, you are missing out! There are animals everywhere... donkeys, horses, peacocks and my favorite, the camels! We will be training two times a day until we leave Thursday afternoon for London! I am so excited to see all of my friends on the Olympic team! I'll be keeping you guys back home posted on what we do!
